The management, faculty and staff of Swathi College of Pharmacy are committed to creating a positive environment where a student enjoys and experiences the most memorable moments of campus life. Life at Swathi College of Pharmacy is not just about work, work and work. In fact, it is about ‘freedom and holistic development that eventually makes every student an evolved individual. Going to an institute like Swathi College of Pharmacy is a lot more than just getting a degree. It is about leaving home and entering the world. Digital Learning & IT Facilities..

Our vision is to use digital and online technology to enhance a sense of collaboration and community between students on campus, to better apply interactive teaching techniques, and to expand possibilities for creating an international classroom. 

By creating a learning environment which has at its heart the latest evidence-based approach to teaching, combined with world-class digital teaching innovations, we can deliver a future for the College that is built around the student and positions our staff as global leaders in learning and teaching in pharmacy.

Swathi College of Pharmacy recognises the utility of IT in education and accordingly it has established a robust IT facility in the campus. The college has dedicated team to look after the updating need of IT infra. The various IT facilities include:

  • The institution provides comprehensive computing resources, featuring a total of 110 computers, with 95 designated for student use, including 60 in the Computer cum Language Laboratory. To facilitate ICT-enabled education, both LAN and internet connectivity are available. All computers are routinely monitored, replaced, and upgraded as needed. Postgraduate lab instruments are linked to computers equipped with relevant software, and all laboratories, the library, and offices are connected via CAT6 high-speed cables. More than 20 high-speed Wi-Fi routers are installed throughout the campus, covering all floors and administrative areas.
  • Students and staff can access computers in the digital library, which includes thirty terminals for browsing e-journals, databases like K-Nimbus, e-books, and other resources subscribed to by the college library. The college continuously enhances its IT infrastructure, including Wi-Fi services, and has internet connections from two providers, BVS Broadband and ACT, delivering speeds of 100 Mbps and 150 Mbps, respectively, to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Seamless internet access is available campus-wide for laptops and mobile devices, with all Wi-Fi nodes secured and access controlled by the system administrator in accordance with the college’s e-Governance Policy. The institution has upgraded to a leased line for improved internet services, and data security is upheld through password protection for individual folders, while non-academic sites are blocked. Staff and office areas have dedicated Wi-Fi-enabled A3 and A4 colour and monochrome printers, and a separate copier is available in the library for student use.
  • Classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors and internet access. For security purposes, the campus is monitored by over 87 CCTV cameras linked to a television system to capture footage around the premises. In compliance with university guidelines, all external examination footage is recorded and stored. The institution shares event broadcasts on its YouTube channel and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, and regularly updates information on its website: https://pharmacy.swathicolleges.ac.in/.

Career guidance..

Career Guidance Cell (CGC) of SCPN is a dynamic body functioning to provide wholesome development to the students. The cell works under the guidance of CGC officers who are seasoned academicians and professionals. The Principal and all faculty members extend their wholehearted support to the functioning of the unit.

CGC of SCPN plays a crucial role in guiding the students to various openings suitable to their competency, economic resources and personal choices. Since the student intake is from different social, economic and academic backgrounds, the students require a well planned and organized career counselling at the institutional level for their career progression.

Training & Placements..

The Placement Cell of Swathi College of Pharmacy continually keep liaisons with industry, R&D organizations, and management organizations, with the foresight of Training, Career-Guidance, Internship/Project, and Campus Placements. The Placement Cell works closely in line with the policies of the Institute and tries to coherently match the interests of students with an appropriate job profile.

The Placement Cell channelizes feedback from Industry, R&D Organizations and Management Organizations regarding academic programmes, to the Institute. The Placement Cell continually functions to safeguard the interest of the students and also endeavors to be a part of their safe and secure future.

Culturals..

The Cultural club aims to promote exposure and to increase the awareness of the students towards the finer arts of the world. From dramatics to literature, from poetry to music and dance, this is the place to come and experience it all. The club also acts as a forum to improve one’s communication skills, expressivity and critical thinking power. Various enjoyable events are conducted under this club which not only entertain but also enrich our understanding of various different cultures and practices and introduce us to new exotic art forms from around the globe!

 

Library..

Libraries play an important role in the college experience. In addition to the academic resources they offer, libraries also figure prominently in campus life as venues for study group meetings, random run-ins with friends, and furious efforts to finish term papers on time. While a growing number of student resources have migrated to remotely accessible digital formats, campus libraries continue to facilitate learning while strengthening social bonds.

Libraries continue to be a major source of prestige for colleges and universities that boast expansive and elite resource collections. College libraries also contribute to the on-campus atmosphere, and knowledgeable librarians can help students improve their academic performance by guiding users to information and resources they might not otherwise locate on their own.

Our library contains over 7787 volumes of books with 1554 titles, more than 50 National and International journals, and adequate CDs; Videos on all disciplines of Pharmacy are available. The library is manned by Qualified Staff.

Journal Club..

journal club is a group of individuals who meet regularly (in person, online, or both) to critically evaluate recent articles in the academic literature, such as the scientific literature, medical literature etc.

  • To help make the student(s) become more familiar with the advanced literature in their new field of study.
  • These journal clubs help improve the students’ skills of understanding and debating current topics of active interest in their field.

Transport facility..

“Safety of the child is our priority.” We have well-trained drivers and caretakers to provide a well-organized transport facility to the students.

Swathi College of Pharmacy operates buses for the convenience of students and staff coming from in and around Nellore city. This transport facility is also used for various educational purposes like field trips, industrial visits and hospital duties.

Hostel facility..

Hostel facilities are available for girls separately on a college campus. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished. Quality and hygienic food, Vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian are special features of our boarding facility.
